Memar Magazine issue 91, edited by Kamran Afshar Naderi, explores the notion of “Idea” in architecture. For this theme, Kourosh Dabbagh and Fereshteh Assadzadeh co-authored the essay “Eureka?!”, which is a fragmented collage of quotes and writings by different people - including Rem Koolhaas, Alex Pentland, Steve Jobs and Pablo Picasso among others. No part of this essays is actually written by the authors themselves. The reason behind this choice was to state that there is no original and novel idea, and innovation stems solely from linking the ideas and opinions of different people relevantly.
This issue also features a roundtable organized by the editor with the participation of renowned Iranian architects Reza Daneshmir, Alireza Taghaboni, Abbas Riahi Fard and Bahram Kalantari.
